Aerofoil is specially designed for flow measurement through square or rectangular duct, where other flow meters like Orifice Plate, Flow Nozzle, Venturi etc. cannot be used.
The Aerofoil is used in air and gas flow measurement, due to its wing shape, its aerodynamics offers a smooth passage for the fluid, thus generating a minimum pressure drop.
Applications:
Pulp and Paper Plants / Sugar and Alcohol / Power – Energy / Boiler Area.
Characteristics:
– Reduced upstream and downstream stretch required.
– Lower susceptibility to erosion.
– Low permanent pressure loss.
– No maintenance, since there are no moving parts.
– Supplied with profile flanges, very easy to install.
– Duct sizes 500mm and above, smaller dimensions on request.
