The Flow Nozzle is in many ways an intermediate model between the orifice plate and the Venturi tube.
Its design allows application in services where the fluid is abrasive and corrosive.
The profile of the inlet section is designed to guide the flow until it reaches the throttled section of the measuring element, following an elliptical curve (ASME design) or pseudo-elliptic (ISA design).
Its main application is for steam measurement in critical operating conditions (high speed, temperature and pressure).
